Accelerated Process Systems is your single source of industrial strainers from 12" to 72". All custom products are designed to ASME Section VIII Div.1 current edition and can be provided in many materials of construction. We provide complete engineering capabilities featuring in-house CAD service and 3D product models allow us to design your system and calculate all of your pressure drops. T and Y Strainers
T and Y type Strainers are the most common type of strainer and provide a low cost solution to large nominal bore straining requirements. They can be mounted into vertical or horizontal piping. T Strainers can be configured for right-angled applications where as Y strainers are installed in straight piping runs. Our strainers are custom fabricated in material to meet your needs and are designed to remove foreign particles from pipeline. T and Y strainers can be supplied with a range of graded filtration levels from fine to coarse to ensure the proper level of protection is provided to downstream equipment. Our strainers feature either bolted or quick opening covers based on customer needs.
Basket Strainers or Basket Filters are similar to T Strainers but are designed for heavier solids loads. Our strainers/filters feature top removal of the screen or "basket", with a lifting handle, so that all particulate captured and retained by the screen can be easily removed for disposal. The housing and baskets can be fabricated from carbon steel to super duplex, or other materials of your choosing.
Accelerated Process Systems can provide automated systems that can switch from an in-service strainer to a clean strainer based on flow or differential pressure and automatically flush the dirty strainer. This system is usually used with basket strainers that are in service where clean-out is more frequent or in severe service.
Our conical strainers, more commonly know as witches' hat strainers, are made from SS or other high alloy materials and are used as an in-line protection devise that is not expected to require maintenance frequently or is only used during commissioning and startup of new equipment.
