Gas-Liquid Coalescing Filters
Coalescing elements, commonly referred to as filters, are designed to remove small liquid droplets from gas that enter the gas stream either through atomization, entrainment, or condensation. Coalescing filters are not designed for bulk liquid removal and are usually put downstream of a gravity knockout if significant amounts of liquid are present. Depending on the efficiency, and subsequent pressure drop of the filter depend on the element selected. There are elements that can achieve greater than 99% removal of droplets smaller than 0.1 micron in size.
Accelerated Process Systems will work with you to determine the best solution to your application. In addition to fabricating filter vessels, Accelerated has significant experience in providing packaged filter systems that can allow for safe filter replacement while maintaining operation.
